Sustainable Development Fee for regional tourists

If the recommendation of the Fourth Pay Commission(PC) remains as proposed, then the regional tourists visiting the country will have to pay the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF). The Pay Commission recommended the introduction of SDF for regional tourists considering the increasing number of such tourists visiting Bhutan.

GST to be implemented by next year

By the mid of 2020, the government will impose goods and services tax (GST) in the country. This is to broaden tax base and widen revenue generation.
