MHPA could be the cheapest hydropower project ever built in SAARC region

The government of India has approved the final cost of the Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Project (MHPA) at Nu 46.7 bn.  If the project completes at this cost,  it would become the cheapest hydropower project ever built not just in India or Bhutan but in the entire SAARC region.

Drukair to resume flights to Yonphula & Gelegphu next month

The national airline, Drukair will resume its domestic flight operations to Gelegphu and Yonphula, Trashigang from next month. According to a news release from Drukair, the first scheduled flight will fly on November 11, coinciding the birthday of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
