The Health Minister, Tandin Wangchuk, has committed that the Monggar Regional Hospital will have enough doctors. Even though the Monggar Regional Hospital has 13 Specialists and two doctors, it is difficult for the team to cope up with increasing referrals from eastern dzongkhags.

Monggar District court has dismissed a case against a proposed mining in Chagsakhar and corruption allegation against the Chagsakhar Gup. A group of seven people from Chagsakhar filed the case on Monday.
