Another electric car launched

Not less than a week after Nissan Leaf electric car was launched, another electric car, Mahindra’s e2o was launched in Thimphu, yesterday. The Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, launched the car at the Taj Tashi Hotel.

Thimphu records highest crime

Thimphu records the highest crime with 1,314 cases registered, states the Annual Crime Statistics for 2012-13. The report was launched at a press conference in Thimphu today.

Forest Fire: A burning issue

Thousands of acres of forests are lost to fire every year. In the last five years, more than 55,000 acres of forest were destroyed by fire.  In 2011-12, about 39 forest fire cases where reported, while in 2012-13 about 34 cases were reported.
