His Majesty the King conferred Dakyen to the Prime Minister and Ministers yesterday in the throne room at Tashichhodzong. This formally marks the beginning of a new government in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

House in Paro razed

A two storied house in Paro town was razed by a fire today. The fire is believed to have started around 8.50 am. Though residents suspected an electrical short circuit, officials confirmed gas leakage to be the cause.

A Royal decree allows graduates registered with political parties to sit for BCSE

A Royal decree was issued by His Majesty the King allowing the graduates registered with the political parties to register for the Bhutan Civil Service Examination (BCSE).  As per the Bhutan Civil Service Rules and Regulations 2012, they were not allowed to register for the examination.
