A farmer in Ritshangdung in Kanglung Gewog of Trashigang has lost four cattle to a suspected leopard attack. The common leopard killed the cattle last night. Sources say the farmer has tethered six cattle in the field about 200 metres from his house to process manure onsite.
A forest official said the attacking nature and pugmark left behind points to the common leopard.
A similar attack happened a few months before when he also lost two oxen.
The Kanglung Gewog Forest and Livestock official has compiled the report and submitted it to Trashigang Dzongkhag.
