A 20-year-old man from Bumthang died on Sunday in JDWNRH after he succumbed to brain injury, which was caused when he fell from a cliff.
The incident took place on the way to Kuenselphodrang on June 28 night. According to the police, the deceased and his 17 -year- old girlfriend had gone for a walk where the man accidentally slipped from the cliff. The girl also fell while trying to rescue the man.
Police said they fell over 15 feet down the cliff. Police stated they were taken to hospital. However, the man could not be saved.
Meanwhile, the girl has been discharged from the hospital and medical report showed she sustained minor injury. According to the statement, the incident happened under the influence of alcohol. The girl revealed they had carried alcohol while taking a walk. Police are investigating the case.
