The 39-year-old Lam Karma Jigme from Sha Wachen Teukey Zampa is appointed as the Lam of Gase Matshig Pokto Gompa in Wangdue Phodrang.
Kencho Dorji from Dompala Village in Punakha was appointed as the Guen-Zhuk Umze at Tashichhodzong. Guen-Zhuk is the Buddhist precentor of winter residence (Punakha Dzong) of the Central Monastic Body.
