Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa (DNT) declared Namgay Tshering as its candidate from Paro’s Dokar_Sharpa Constituency today. With this, the party has confirmed candidates from all 47 constituencies.
Namgay Tshering is from Jeleykha in Nagya Gewog. He has a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.
He has worked in various capacities in the Ministry of Health in the last 14 years. Namgay Tshering replaces DNT’s earlier candidate from the constituency, Nima Tshering.
Dr Tandi Dorji, DNT’s former president, said the party is all set for the upcoming election. “We are fully prepared for the 2018 election,” he said.
“Our manifesto is also ready. Besides that, we have also prepared all materials that are required for campaign purposes. We’ve also completed two rounds of familiarization.”
The DNT was formed in January 2013.
