Police in Thimphu have arrested 40 people, including a woman, in drug related cases over a period of one-and-a-half month.
Some were detained for substance abuse and others for illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
34 drug abusers have been handed over to the Bhutan Narcotic Control Authority (BNCA)for treatment. The rest will face court.
Police had seized more than a thousand capsules of SP+ and over a hundred nitrosen tablets from the detainees.
