A flash flood last night has washed away a labour camp in Meadtsho Gewog, Lhuentse.
The camp belongs to the Diamond Construction Company, a company involved in Gewog Centre (GC) road blacktopping works in the gewog. Eight people living in the camp lost all their belongings, which included three laptops and a printer.
The flood, triggered by continuous rainfall over the last two days, has also damaged some portion of the GC road. A motor bike has been washed away as well.
A team from the dzongkhag visited the affected areas today to assess the extent of damage caused.
