His Majesty The King arrived in Thimphu on Sunday after a Royal Tour of the eastern districts. Following the inauguration of Gyalposhing-Nganglam Highway, His Majesty The King visited several places in Monggar, Lhuenste, Nganglam, Zhemgang and Trongsa.
While in Zhemgang, His Majesty granted an Audience to teachers and students of Yepilatsa Central School and Zhemgang Central School. His Majesty also met with retired armed force personnel in the dzongkhag.
His Majesty granted Khimsa Kidu to 27 households at Trong Village. His Majesty also visited shops and met with the locals there.
In Trongsa, His Majesty granted Audiences to the students of the College of Language and Culture Studies in Taktse and the people of Yurmong, Yulsar, Taktse, Samling, Changray and Kuenga Rabten Chiwogs.
Enroute to Thimphu, His Majesty granted Audiences to the students of Taktse Central School and offered prayers at the Trongsa Dzong. His Majesty The King was accompanied by His Royal Highness the Gyaltshab.
