BKP, DPT & PDP declare more candidates

Bhutan Kuen-Nyam Party (BKP), Druk Phuensum Tshogpa (DPT) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have announced more candidates from various constituencies.

BKP declared six more candidates in the past two months.

Dhamber Ghimeray is contesting from TsirangToed_Patali Demkhong in Tsirang. He has a Master’s Degree in Communication and Arts and is a former News Editor with Bhutan Broadcasting Service (BBS).

Harka B. Gurung, a former civil servant, will contest from Gelegphu Demkhong in Sarpang.

Kesang Choden will represent BKP from Bardo_Trong Demkhong in Zhemgang. She was a civil servant and had also worked with UN.

Another former civil servant, Sahadev Thapa will contest from Kilkhorthang_Mendrelgang Demkhong in Tsirang.

Sherub Phuntsho is BKP’s candidate from Maenbi_Tsaenkhar Demkhong in Lhuentse. He was an Executive Engineer with the Department of Roads previously.  Sherub Phuntsho has a Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

Sonam Tshering, a former civil servant, will contest from Womrong_Khaling Demkhong in Trashigang.

DPT declared three more candidates on Tuesday. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communications, Migma Dorji will represent the party from Drujeygang_Tseza Demkhong in Dagana.

A former civil servant, Pema Tashi will contest from Gelephug Demkhong in Sarpang.

30 year-old Tashi will represent the party from Phuentshogling Demkhong in Chhukha. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from North Bengal University in Kalimpong.

PDP has declared two more candidates.

Tandin Dorji, a former civil servant, will contest from Thimphu Demkhong.

Another former civil servant, Dr Tobgay, is representing the party from Dramedtse_Ngatshang Demkhong in Monggar.
