A student of YHSS tops Class X exams

Kinley Penjor Tshomo, a student of Yangchenphug Higher Secondary School topped the class X examinations this year. She scored 91.20 percent. Tshering Tashi, a student of Gomtu Middle Secondary School came second with 90.60 percent.

Trailing very close is Jitendra Chhetri, another student of Gomtu Middle Secondary School with 90.40 percent.

The results were announced by the Bhutan Council for School Examinations and Assessment, BCSEA, today at a press conference.

Of the 10,190 who appeared the examination last year, 9,888 students passed the examination. Fifty students appeared the Dzongkha Language and Culture Studies certificate examination. All passed the examination.

The cut-off point for admission to class eleven in government schools has been fixed at 60.40%.

The details of the result will be available on the Druknet website www.druknet.bt beginning tomorrow afternoon.
