National Airline- Drukair launches its e-services on mobile app

People can now access online services of Drukair, the Royal Bhutan Airlines, through a mobile application. The airlines company introduced the facility today.

Through the mobile app, customers can book flights, check its schedule, airfare, and availability of seats among others. Along with the app, Drukair also launched its web check-in service. Passengers can now select seats before 24 hours to departure and generate electronic boarding pass. This is expected to reduce the check-in time at the airport.

Now, the national flag carrier also has its first own customer service building. This is mainly to improve and make efficient the company’s service delivery to its customers. It is located in Thimphu above the Bhutan Broadcasting Service Corporation and opposite to Rabten Apartments.

“We wanted to have our own building designed to the ticketing requirement. Today we have been able to build in a very strategic location. The location is quite convenient as it is centrally located. When we were at Changlam Plaza, there used to be parking problem,” said Tandi Wangchuk, the Chief Executive Officer of Drukair.

Drukair Corporation Limited was founded in 1981. Today, it flies to nine international destinations. It also operates domestic flights to Bumthang, Gelegphu and Yongphula in Trashigang.
