Nangkhor Gewog in Zhemgang now has a Petroleum Oil Lubricant (POL) Service Centre. Located in Buli, the centre was inaugurated yesterday.
Besides distributing fuel and LPG cylinders and refills, the centre will provide farm machinery on hire to the farmers.
The POL Service Centre is an initiative of the Farm Machinery Corporation Limited (FMCL). The centres are aimed at bringing POL services closer to the people, thereby saving time and cost.
The FMCL opened its first POL service centre in Drakten Gewog in Trongsa recently, followed by another one in Nobding in Wangdue Phodrang.
FMCL intends to open such centres in other gewogs of Zhemgang soon.
