Police in the capital received seven complaints related to criminal offences such as larceny, malicious mischief, battery, burglary and harassment on New Year’s Eve yesterday. Police arrested two men for their alleged involvement in larceny while another one was nabbed for alleged malicious mischief, which means intentionally damaging public properties.
Traffic Police also took note of three cases related to motor vehicle accidents yesterday. However, they were minor accidents.
Police officials said, they intentionally intensified patrolling on New Year’s Eve to ensure people ring in the New Year without any unfortunate incidents.
