His Holiness the Je Khenpo consecrated the Kidloong Nunnery Shedra and its Sertog yesterday.
Kidloong Nunnery Shedra at Kidheykhar in Monggar was instituted last year. At present, there are 42 nuns studying at the Shedra.
Devotees gathered at the ceremony received blessings from His Holiness. His Holiness conducted the consecration enroute to Lhuentse from Trashi Yangtse.
While in Trashi Yangtse, His Holiness presided over the Purjang Ceremony of late Lam Dorji of Rigsum Goenpa at the Chorten Kora. His Holiness was also in Trashigang where he consecrated a Lhabaab Chorten at Kheri.
