PM underlines on ensuring accountability in gewogs

Meeting with people of five gewogs (Barp, Lingmukha, Shelnga-Bjemi, Talog and Guma) in Punakha recently, Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay urged them to participate in the decision-making process in their gewogs to ensure accountability- which is a key to successful implementation of any development projects.

Lyonchhen also shared about doubling the Bhutan Health Trust Fund for the continued supply of free medical services to people for all times to come.

“It is the duty of the government to establish hospitals and provide health facilities to the people. People must go to hospital during sickness. We get free medicine at the health centres. It’s our responsibility to provide free medicines to our people,” Prime Minister told the villagers.

So far, Prime Minister has visited 200 of the 205 gewogs in the country.
