The Royal Monetary Authority (RMA) will submit the Priority Sector Lending policy to the cabinet next Tuesday.
This was revealed during the opening ceremony of the nine-day Training on Priority Sector Lending, which began in the capital today.
Priority Sector Lending is an important role given by the RMA to the banks for providing a specified portion of the bank lending to few specific sectors like agriculture, micro and small industries.
The policy will improve monetary access from the financial institutions for the people. It is expected to be implemented by the beginning of next year.
