Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay said he will look into the possibility of blacktopping Na-Rang Gewog Centre (GC) road in Monggar and then discuss with the works and human settlement ministry.
Lyonchhen said this after the gewog leaders informed him that the 17-kilometre road needs maintenance and blacktopping. The prime minister met with the people of the gewog yesterday. “If it’s feasible to blacktop the road, we will do it this year itself,” said the prime minister.
“But if the road needs maintenance, we will have to first repair it.”
The prime minister also visited Balam and Dramedtse Gewogs yesterday. So far, he has visited 190 gewogs.
