The Bumthang District Court has sentenced a man to two years and six months in prison for criminal solicitation.

The court found the man guilty of the crime of solicitation of burglary and arson. The convict hired two other men and paid them Nu 35,000 to steal antiques from Samtenling Nagtshang in Chumey Gewog in Bumthang. He had asked the men to set the monastery on fire after stealing.
