(Update): Thimphu Police have detained three more men suspected to be the accomplices of the two others arrested last month from Paro airport for gold smuggling.
The names of the suspected accomplices were revealed as the police interrogated the two men caught with 11.5 kilograms of gold by the customs officials at the Paro airport on August 27 following a tip-off.
Paro police arrested the two on the same day. The men flew in from Bangkok with gold worth Nu 30 million.
The case will be now forwarded to the court.
