A four-year-old boy who went missing since yesterday afternoon has been found dead. Thimphu Police retrieved his body from the Wangchhu below Terma Linca today.
According to sources, the boy left his home in Babesa with his grandmother yesterday afternoon and did not return home.
The staff of Terma Linca informed police after they spotted the grandmother in the river yesterday. Police came to know about the missing boy only when they took the grandmother to her place.
The forensic department of the national referral hospital said there were no external injuries. Police are questioning the grandmother as they try to figure out how the boy landed in the river.
