His Holiness the Je Khenpo administered Goenpoi-Tong-Tshog on the second day of the rituals performed to ward off misfortunes in Bumthang yesterday.
The rituals are performed in the wake of recent fire disasters in the district.
Later in the evening, His Holiness performed Se-nyem at a chorten built on the edge of Chamkhar town.
Locals believe evil spirits were set free and misfortune struck them after the chorten was vandalised thrice, most recently in 2012.
