Gelegphu Forest Range officials have rescued and released an 8-feet-long python, weighing about 10 kilogrammes, today.
The snake was released in the forest below Gelegphu Domestic Airport.
Locals had first spotted the reptile at Rabdeling while clearing an area for construction.
