Of the 50 athletes undergoing coaching at the Olympic Ground in Thimphu, five will be selected to attend some sports academy in Japan.
Bhutan Amateur Athletic Federation will hold the selection from January 23-26 for the scholarships.
The competitors are students who will compete in the mid-long run and sprint categories.
