Bhutan adopts Conservation Assured Tiger Standards

In securing a long-term future of the country’s tigers, Bhutan adopted the Conservation Assured Tiger Standards yesterday.

It is a conservation tool which enables key tiger sites to be effectively managed.

Currently, including Bhutan, five other countries have adopted the Standards. A survey last year found an estimated 103 tigers in Bhutan.
