Accidents claim lives

Among five people travelling in Hyundai i10 car, four died in an accidents that happened 52 Kilometres away from Gelephu. The accident took place this morning at Chaplichhu. The deceased were  two officials from the Bhutan Development Bank and other two were farmers from Bumthang. Fifty two-year-old  escaped with an injury.

The accident happened after a bee attacked the driver and lost control of the wheel. They were going to Bumthang from Gelephu after completing farmer’s study tour.

Another accident claimed two lives yesterday on the way between Bunagu and Tanalum. Four monks were coming to Thimphu, when the car they were travelling in went off 50 metres below the road.

Other two escaped with injuries and they are being treated in the National Referral Hospital. The cause of the accident is not known.
