The Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay met with the Ambassador of Spain to Bhutan, Gustavo Maneul de Aristegui,at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang yesterday.
A press release from the Prime Minister’s Office says Lyonchhen and Ambassador Aristegui discussed possible collaboration on agro-based industries, tourism, micro renewable energy projects and sports, particularly football.
The ambassador conveyed that Spain would garner and provide support for training football players in Bhutan.
The Prime Minister also met Ambassador Harald Sandberg of Sweden. Lyonchhen and the ambassador spoke about cooperating in protection of the environment, renewable energy generation and funding scholarships for Bhutanese students.
Lyonchhen reiterated that Bhutan benefitted immensely from both nations and he was hopeful that the relationship would continue to deepen and strengthen over time.
