Paro Airport gets firefighting engine

Firefighter-ParoAirportThe Department of Civil Aviation inaugurated their newly acquired firefighting engine in Paro, today. The vehicle, costing over Nu.30 MN, is a high performance machinery, according to the department.

The vehicle was felt necessary with the increasing number of aircraft and aircraft movements in the airport.

The vehicle has a water capacity of 7500 litres and can discharge water at a rate of 4000 litres per minute.
