The Foreign Minister, Rinzin Dorje, said the Internal Highway from Phuentshogling via Gelegphu to Nanglam would start soon.
He was speaking to the people in Singye Gewog in Sarpang, today. Lyonpo is on a nine-day visit to Sarpang Dzongkhag.
The Foreign Minister said the survey and mapping of the road was already complete and funds ready.
The Asian Development Bank has agreed to fund the project.
Lyonpo Rinzin Dorje also said the government is holding talks with the Indian government to either build a stone wall from Gelegphu to Singye Gewog or have barbed wire fence.
The minister will also visit other Gewogs. After touring Sarpang, he will travel to Zhemgang next.
