The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) detained Naku, the former Chang Gup in Thimphu and handed him over to the police, this morning.
He was detained in connection with a land scam in Thimphu, say the sources. ACC is investigating the land case. The Anti-Corruption Commission refused a comment saying the case is under investigation.
The Anti-corruption Act 2011 gives the Commission right to arrest, without warrant, any person upon reasonable suspicion of having committed or about to commit an offense.
