The three-day prayer ceremony, held for the long life and well being of His Holiness Je Thizur Tenzin Dendup, ended yesterday.
His Holiness Je Thizur, the 68th Je Khenpo, turned 90 this year.
The prayer ceremony, led by His Holiness the Je Khenpo, was held in Dodena in Thimphu.
About a thousand monks from shedras, dratshangs and goendeys in Thimphu, performed the prayers.
The Prime Minister, other ministers and senior government officials also attended the concluding prayer ceremony.
Over a thousand people also gathered to receive blessings.
