The constructions of Punakha and Wangdue Phodrang district courts will begin from January, next year. The ground breaking ceremonies for the two district courts were held yesterday.
The Punakha Court will be constructed at Zingchenmo in Guma Gewog. The new Wangdue Phodrang Court will be constructed where the old District court stands.
The two-storied court buildings will cost about Nu.50 MN each.
It is being jointly funded by Austrian Development Cooperation and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
