The Health Minister, Tandin Wangchuk, is leading the four-member Bhutanese delegation to the 67th World Health Assembly, which started in Geneva yesterday. The six-day conference will cover issues such as International Health Regulation, Non-communicable Diseases and Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition, among others.
About 194 World Health Organization (WHO) member states and representatives are attending the World Health Assembly.
In the meantime, Lyonpo Tandin Wangchuk, is also expected to meet the Director General of WHO, Regional Director of WHO SEARO and Regional Advisor for Child Survivor from UNICEF and other delegates.
