A LIVE or packaged broadcast of the Dzongkhag Tshogdu proceedings on Television was amongst the resolution passed by the National Council, previously. The follow-up on the resolution, today, saw a majority support from the members.
They feel the public ought to know what is being discussed during the Dzongkhag Tshogdu and how it is going to affect them.
Up until now, the National Television, Bhutan Broadcasting Service has been covering the LIVE proceedings of the National Council and National Assembly, only.
The previous deliberation on the same saw the support of the Home and cultural affairs ministry and the local government. However, the ministry is yet to explore the possibility with BBS and at an affordable rate.
About Nu.3.2 MN is spent to cover the LIVE proceeding of the parliament’s two houses annually.
