Deceased from Zhemgang boat incident cremated(Update): Six villagers, drowned in Mangdechhu after a boat capsized on Saturday, are being cremated at Zhemgang cremation ground, today. Their bodies were taken to Zhemgang from the location where the incident had taken place.

The sixth body was retrieved at about 3:30pm, approximately 26 hours after the boat had capsized. The rescue team found the body about eight kilometres away, near Pangkhar Zam, from where the boat had sunk.Deceased from Zhemgang boat incident cremated-

The home minister, Damchoe Dorji, is overseeing the cremation. The Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, was in Zhemgang comforting the affected families. He left to the location where the incident had taken place, this morning.

Meanwhile, the rescue team comprising 100 locals, gewog officials and four boats are still searching for the missing bodies in Mangdechhu.

Of the 18 on board, six are still missing. Six rescued passengers are being treated at the Yebilaptsa hospital. They are said to be in is a stable condition.

The incident took place 11am on Saturday.
