The Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Christina Figueres, paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay today.
Lyonchhen and Ms. Figueres spoke on the ongoing intergovernmental discussions on climate change, climate-related issues in Bhutan, current challenges and the mechanisms Bhutan has initiated to achieve carbon neutrality.
Lyonchhen conveyed that Bhutan would continue to take environment on the forefront and ensure that the environment is protected for all times to come.
