A new batch of 193 police from the Jigmiling training centre in Gelephu is joining the country’s police force. The passing out parade for them was held at the centre today.
Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay congratulated and told them to give their best in safeguarding the country’s law and order. He also called on them to serve the country and the people with utmost loyalty and dedication.
After about a year of intensive training, they said they are now ready to take on their job.
Of the 193, 143 are male and 50 female.
