Bhutan and Thailand sign agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation.Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay called on the Prime Minister of Thailand Yingluck Shinawatra at the Government house in Bangkok today. The Minister of Economic Affairs, Norbu Wangchuk, and the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand signed an agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation in presence of the two premiers. Our reporter, Tenzin Rabgye, says that the Lyonchhen was presented with a guard of honour. Prime Minister Shinawatra hosted a luncheon for Lyonchhen and the Bhutanese delegation at the government house.

Earlier in the day the Prime Minister visited the National monument in Bangkok. Lyonchhen laid a wreath at the eternal flame. He was presented a guard of honour and paid his respects to all the fallen soldiers of Thailand. Later, the Prime Minister also visited the museum in honour of the head of Royal Thai Armed Forces.

PM-ThailandIn the afternoon Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay visited the Rangsit University and talked to the students there.

Yesterday, Lyonchhen was received at the airport by the Deputy Prime Minister and was presented a guard of honour at the airport.

Lyonchhen and his delegation will be in Thailand until November 17. This is the first official visit of a Bhutanese Prime Minister to Thailand.
