The 8^th Global Environment Facility south Asian constituency is underway in the capital. The two-day meeting began today. The meeting is aimed to set an agenda for the 45 Global Environment Facility council meeting in November. GEF has played a vital role in addressing the underlying drivers of environment degradation since seventh five year plan in Bhutan.  So far, GEF has supported around 45 million US dollars including 11^th five year plan to support climate change and land conservation.
