To commemorate the second anniversary of the Royal Wedding, the Queens Trophy is being organised in Punakha by the Punakha Sports Association.
About 24 teams are taking part in the football tournament. The teams are from Tsirang, Thimphu, Gasa, Wangdue Phodrang, and Punakha.
One match is played on weekdays, and four matches on weekends. In yesterday’s match, Team Terton played against Team PHPA United. Terton scored six goals against a goalless PHPA United and won the match. Today, team civil star are playing against team velocity.
The final match will be played on November 9.The winners will be awarded Nu.50,000 and the runners-up Nu.30,000.
