Over 16,000 people turned up to receive blessings from the sacred relics that are on display at hall in Thimphu today. Today was the last day for the display.
About 50 different sacred relics belonging to prominent Buddhist masters were displayed six days. The relics have been donated by Buddhist spiritual leaders from around the world. The relics will be next displayed for public veneration in Trashigang from 28th till 31st October and will travel to other Dzongkhags as well.
