The German Ambassador to India, Michael Steiner, called on Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, at the GyalyongTshogkhang, this morning.
Lyonchhen expressed his deep appreciation for past assistance from Germany and informed the Ambassador that Bhutan had benefitted immensely from the support provided by the German Technical Cooperation known as GIZ- an international non-profit enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations.
Mr. Steiner and Lyonchhen discussed capacity-building of vocational training institutes, investing in renewable energy, and encouraging and promoting the use of electric vehicles, among others.
Mr. Steiner assured Lyonchhen that he would do his best to facilitate and revive German cooperation in these vital areas.
