The Kuwaiti delegation for Public Authority on Youth and Sports (PAYS) called on the Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang this morning.
Led by the Chairman of PAYS, General Faisal Musaid Al Jazaaf, the delegation and the Prime Minister discussed the importance of sports in a landlocked region like Bhutan, proper infrastructure and sporting facilities.
Major General Al Jazaaf said they will support Bhutan’s endeavours and developing activities for engaging the youth and further improving relations between Bhutan and Kuwait.
Lyonchhen told the delegation that these visits are significant and that they symbolise the strong level of friendly relations enjoyed by the two countries and in particular, the exceptional friendship shared by the two Royal families.
Lyonchhen thanked the delegation for visiting Bhutan and told them that the generous assistance rendered by Kuwait has benefitted Bhutan a lot since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1983.
