No BCSE for graduates registered as members of political parties

PE-PoliticsThe graduates who participated in politics will not be allowed to sit for the preliminary of the Bhutan Civil Service Examination (BCSE). The Bhutan Civil Service Rules and Regulations 2012 states that a candidate shall not be eligible to appear for BCSE if they have participated in politics and not completed the required “cooling off” period of three years.

With less than a week left for the university graduates to register for preliminary examination, many who were the registered members of political parties say it is a heavy price to pay for showing support to democratic progress in the country.

The RCSE says the rules apply to all the civil servants and university graduates who want to join civil service.  University graduates who want to appear for the Preliminary Examination will have to de-register themselves from the parties and complete three years cooling period.

The preliminary examination for the Bhutan Civil Service Exam is scheduled on 11th of next month. The main exams will be held in October, this year.
