Man arrested for smuggling narcotics

smuggling-narcoticsPolice in Phuentsholing have arrested a man for illegal transaction of controlled substances.

The man told Police that the controlled substances were handed to him by an Indian friend for delivery to a dealer in Thimphu.

The man has confessed to having made a similar delivery to the same dealer about three weeks ago.

This is the second such arrest in Phuentsholing, this month.
