Under phase four of the 2010 KR2 grant, 165 power tillers and 172 ploughs will be distributed to the farmers. The distribution will begin next month.
The KR 2 grant assistance is one of the longest grants to Bhutan from Japan. The grant first started in 1984. It comes under the food security project for underprivileged farmers.
Until now, about 2,500 power tillers have been distributed under the grant.
