(Update:) The Phuentsholing Dungkhag Court issued arrest warrant against two private tenants of Gol building, yesterday afternoon. This comes after the tenants missed the third deadline to vacate their apartment.
As agreed between the tenants and the National Housing Development Corporation, the nine private tenants were supposed to vacate their apartments by the end of last month.
By yesterday, except for the two, all others had vacated their apartments. They two were waiting to shift tomorrow as the day was deemed auspicious.
According to the NHDC Manager in Phuentsholing, Tshering Penjor, the tenants had already been given enough time to vacate.
